Visa categories
Short-stay visa
Tourism or business stays of less than 90 days.
Long-stay visa
Temporary settlement for work, study or family reunification.
Transit visa
Passage through Congolese territory towards a final destination.
Supporting documents
- Passport valid for at least six months beyond the date of return
- Visa application form, fully completed
- Two recent passport photographs
- Proof of accommodation or a letter of invitation
- Return air ticket or travel itinerary
- Travel insurance certificate
- Proof of sufficient funds
Procedure
Visa applications must be lodged in person at the consular section of the Embassy, by appointment. Processing usually takes five to ten working days. Visa fees are set out in the schedule of consular fees.
Documents in another language
Supporting documents that are not in French must be accompanied by a certified translation. French is the official language of the Republic of the Congo, and the language in which the consular section examines applications.
