Role and mandate
The Embassy of the Republic of the Congo is the official diplomatic mission of the Congolese State. It defends national interests, protects Congolese nationals and promotes bilateral relations with the host country.
The Embassy acts in political, economic, cultural, scientific and consular matters, in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

Legal framework
The work of the Embassy falls under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations (1961), the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations (1963) and the bilateral agreements in force between the Republic of the Congo and the host country.
